Spotlight Development was proud to sponsor the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Toronto’s book launch celebrating Toronto Mayors, the latest publication by author Mark Maloney.



Held in the heart of the city, the event brought together a remarkable lineup of civic leaders, historians, and changemakers to reflect on the legacy of Toronto’s municipal leadership.

Guests of honour included current Mayor Olivia Chow and former Mayors Art Eggleton and John Tory, who gathered to discuss the book and its relevance to Toronto’s evolving civic identity. Also in attendance were prominent political figures Ana Bailão, Brad Bradford, and Jennifer McKelvie, each bringing valuable perspective to the evening’s conversations.



As a proud Toronto-based developer committed to building inclusive, community-forward housing, Spotlight was honoured to support this evening of historical reflection and dialogue. The book, Toronto Mayors, provides a compelling chronicle of the city’s political evolution—an essential lens through which to consider how we shape the future of housing, infrastructure, and urban development.



The event was made possible through the collaboration of SVN Canada, DiamondCorp, Tom’s Place, U of T Cities, KGA, and Dundurn Press.
