Spotlight Development Hosts Toronto CREW Scholarship Committee for Panel on Groundbreaking Reina Condos Project

Spotlight Development Inc. proudly hosted the Toronto CREW Scholarship Committee for an insightful panel discussion centred on the Reina Condos project, Canada's first condominium designed and developed by an all-female team. The event underscored the importance of diversity and inclusion within the real estate industry.

Spotlight Development President Sherry Larjani was joined by Emily Reisman, Partner at Urban Strategies Inc., and Jane Almey, Managing Partner at Bluescape Construction Management Inc. The trio shared their experiences working on the Reina Condos project and navigating careers in a traditionally male-dominated field.

The panel was organized with the support of Taya Cook, Director of Development at Urban Capital; Mahtab Pezhman, PMP; and Reilly Mawhinney, Co-Chair of the Toronto CREW Scholarship Committee. Their efforts facilitated a meaningful dialogue between industry leaders and aspiring professionals.

Reina Condos, located at 689 The Queensway in Toronto's Etobicoke neighbourhood, is a nine-storey, 200-unit mid-rise boutique condominium. The project is a collaboration between Urban Capital and Spotlight Development, with architectural design by BDP Quadrangle. Reina has been recognized for its innovative approach and was named Storeys' Real Estate Project of the Year in 2020.
